Third Coast Capital Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Lipari Foods, a portfolio company of Sterling Investment Partners, in its acquisition of Jim’s Cheese. Our Acquisition Search services included identifying the target and making contact with its owner, as well as providing assistance on valuation, transaction structure and the negotiation and closing of the transaction. This transaction represents a good example of our ability to identify and execute proprietary, add-on acquisitions for private equity portfolio companies.

Jim’s Cheese, LLC, based in Waterloo, Wisconsin, has been processing and distributing cheese since 1955 and today services over 2,000 customers in 12 Midwest states. The company has a cut and wrap operation, cheese waxing operation, gift box assembly and cold storage.

Lipari Foods, based in Warren, Michigan, is a leading independent “perimeter of the store” distributor in the Midwest, delivering a wide range of quality bakery, dairy, deli, packaging, seafood, meat, specialty grocery, foodservice, confectionery and convenience food and beverage products to over 7,500 customers in 16 states. The acquisition of Jim’s Cheese will help Lipari grow its manufacturing business.
