Third Coast Capital Advisors served as exclusive buyside advisor to Smart Care, a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, in its acquisition of A Advantage Air and Watson Refrigeration in two separate, and unrelated transactions. Our Acquisition Search services included identifying the targets and making contact with its owner, as well as providing assistance on valuation, transaction structure and the negotiation and closing of the transactions. These acquisitions represent great examples of the benefits of direct outreach as these transactions were sourced and closed without an M&A advisor representing the seller.
A Advantage Air, based in Birmingham, Alabama, is a premier commercial kitchen equipment and HVAC services company specializing in emergency repair, installation, and preventative maintenance. Since 1996, A Advantage Air has provided critical services to customers across restaurants, convenience stores and foodservice operators throughout the Alabama region.
Watson Refrigeration, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a premier commercial refrigeration equipment services company specializing in installation, emergency repair and preventative maintenance. Since 1988, Watson has provided critical services to customers across grocery, food distribution centers and restaurants throughout the North Carolina region.
Smart Care, based in Chicago, Illinois, is the largest provider of comprehensive commercial mechanical services, including stand-alone refrigeration, HVAC, complex rack refrigeration, hot and cold-side foodservice equipment, and specialty coffee and beverage. Smart Care is OEM-agnostic with the ability to service more than 10,000 types of equipment for food retail, restaurants, convenience stores, warehouse operators and other institutions across all 50 states.
